Faro-Toronto flights by 2020

The canadian airline AirTransat will connect Faro to Toronto from January to October. This is the first intercontinental flight in the Algarve.

As a way to expand in the Canadian market, the Association of Tourism of the Algarve and Air Transat have strengthened the connection between Toronto and Faro, which previously run only from January to April.

The new route will be constituted by 11 flights in an Airbus A330 and 18 in a new Airbus 321LR. Flights in the wintertime will be on Tuesdays, while during summer will happen on Fridays. From Toronto, connections to Vancouver and Montreal are available.

Canada is a growing market in the tourism sector in the Algarve. Last year recorded a growth of 26% in guests, about 254 overnight stays.
