Blue flags for Lagoa beaches

The six beaches on the Municipality of Lagoa have been awarded with blue flags

Water quality, politeness, environmental management, safety, equipment and services are all measured standards and the six beaches of Lagoa succeed on all of them.

This year the beaches of Carvoeiro, Nossa Senhora da Rocha, Vale Ceneanes, Caneiros, Vale Olival and Praia Grande have been awarded with the European mark of the Blue Flag.

Carvoeiro and Nossa Senhora da Rocha have also been granted the Accessible Beach flag, indicating that the beach is suitable for people with disabilities and that amphibious chairs are also available on the beach.

In Carvoeiro, new signs to indicate the boat and bathing zones have been installed in order to increase safety, while new information point indicating the UV index for the day is available, with the goal of preventing sun related illness.
