Are you ready to eat some snails? Faro promotes a whole festival for that purpose.. and more!

The already traditional Festival do Caracol takes place from 23rd to 26th May, in the Jardim da Alameda, in Faro.

This solidarity initiative, organized by the Union of Parishes of Faro, aims to promote, disseminate and enhance traditional products, Mediterranean cuisine and culture, including gastronomic dishes with the snail, one of the delicacies most appreciated by algarvians.

However, in addition to the traditional snail, this initiative includes musical entertainment, street food, homemade ice cream, crepes, sweets, drinks and farturas, as well as a craft fair.

The fair will be open from Thursday to Saturday, between 5pm and midnight, and on Sunday between 7pm and midnight. Admission is free.
