Loulé aims to reduce traffic in the city center

People who shop in the local commerce of Loulé will be offered with the first hour of parking in the car park of Loulé, located next to the Municipal Library.

The initiative, which also intends to reduce traffic in Loulé – since 20% of the vehicles on the city’s central streets are usually drivers who are looking for a parking space – is the result of a partnership between the Associação de Comerciantes, Loulé Concelho Global, as manager of the car park, and Loulé City Hall.

According to the Loulé City Council, “the benefit of the first hour of parking is supported in 50% by the municipal company and, in 50%, by the shop where the purchase is made.  Each member merchant will be able to offer a one-hour free parking voucher according to their customer loyalty strategy”.

Users of the car park can clarify doubts about the acquisition of these vouchers at the Loja da Mobilidade, next to the Car Park.
