The 9th edition of Algarve Design Meeting promises to bring together all the creativity among us

The University of Algarve-ESEC, in partnership with the Faro City Hall and the Associação Nacional de Designers, has been organizing the Algarve Design Meeting every year since 2011, promoting Portuguese and international design, strengthening the link between designers, companies, academics, industry and society.

This year, between 21st and 25th of May, Faro becomes once again the international capital of design, continuing to strengthen the potential and value of the industry, where institutions, companies, teachers, researchers, professionals, and the public are all involved. Through the various activities carried out in the Fábrica da Cerveja, all those who drop by will have direct contact with the various projects and talents existing in this sector of the creative industries, fostering knowledge among the different collectives of our society.

Inserted in those activities, you’ll have a great amount of things to participate in, such as workshops (drone photography, traditional Portuguese tiles, linoleum engraving and tactile illustration), open-air cinema, expositions, conferences, live performances, pop-up stores and videomapping.

For those refreshing and relaxing moments, you’ll have at your disposal a Lounge-Bar space, where all days throughout the event you’ll be offered with live music.

In recent editions, the Algarve Design Meeting has promoted not only design in all its forms of expression, but also the Algarve region, placing it on the map of international design events.
