“Menina estás à Janela” brings music, theatre and poetry to Baixa de Faro

On May 18th, in the downtown area of Faro, “Menina estás à Janela” will take place, an innovative event that will take music, theatre and poetry on a route through the most beautiful windows of Faro.

Organized within the scope of the Curso Técnico de Organização de Evento da Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa, the initiative consists of a pedestrian route, in which the windows and balconies of various buildings of recognized architectural and historical value will serve as a stage for some artists in the region.

Throughout this artistic journey, the public will have the opportunity to watch shows ranging from fado to poetry and theatre. This cultural initiative will go through eight emblematic windows and balconies in Baixa de Faro, with the goal of reinforcing the artistic, cultural and patrimonial identity of the city and the region and offer to all those interested a show marked by dynamism and diversity.

This innovative format also aims to raise the awareness of society in general to the need of strengthen the urban requalification of Baixa de Faro, as a way to build a more appealing city for residents and visitors.

The event will start at 11:30 am, on Saturday 18th, and will last approximately one hour. Admission is free, although it is subject to registration by e-mail: eventos1720prosa@gmail.com.
