The Municipality of Silves is once again associated with the commemorations of the National Day of Historic Centers, stimulating a special program of free activities that will take place throughout the next March 28th.
Thus, between 9:30am and 4:30pm, the Largo da Sé, the Historic Center of Silves and Praça do Município will be the stage for this special program of activities.
The “Xilb Chess” action will take place at Largo da Sé, with the dynamization of a chess game on a giant board. The Historical Center will host the activity “Illustrate the Historical Center”, with several groups of arts invited to produce illustration works subordinated to themes inherent to it. In turn, the Praça do Município will receive the action “What is what”, a game of a recreational and pedagogical nature, aimed at school groups of the 2nd cycle.
Also in the morning, between 10am and 12pm, a recital with Fernando Ponte will take place in the city’s Historic Centre, next to the Sé portico, and the street animation “Urbanima”, which will translate into an interaction with passers-by, with the distribution of information on Silves Castle, Mercy Church, Sé Catedral and Municipal Archaeology Museum.
